2011 Buoyancy Benefit!
We are proud to announce the first Moving Island event – the 2011 Buoyancy Benefit!

The benefit will feature some of the best bands in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area as well as DJ sets, comedy, and dance. These artists are donating their time and skills to help jump-start Moving Island for our opening in March:

The 2011 Buoyancy Benefit will take place on Friday, January 28 starting at 7PM and Saturday, January 29 starting at noon. Tickets are $8 per day in advance ($10 per day the day of) or $15 for both days in advance. Tickets will be available through Schoolkids Records in Raleigh, CD Alley in Chapel Hill, and Bull City Records in Durham, as well online through Brown Paper Tickets: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/148232.

My name is Mark Tillman and my wife and I make up a band called Wind & Willow. We really love what Moving Island is and stands for and supports. We were wondering if we could help out at all for the benefit for the opening. We would love to play a small set if possible to help support! If not that is totally fine but just figured I would ask!
